Food court in Moscow

 

Lotte Plaza is quite a new shopping mall in the Arbat area in the centre of Moscow... The best part of this beautiful shopping mall is definitely the downstairs food court! It has several disks with fish, meats, cheeses, bread and russian specialities and if you fancy a lunch or coffee break while grocery shopping theres 3 restaurants inside to choose from!

 

We took home several of these jars... and enjoyed them with a glas of prosecco!

Lunch in Moscow...

 

When visiting Moscow recently we totally fell in love with this wonderful cafe that served an amazing lunch, so good in fact we thought that we returned 3 times during our stay!

We where surprised but also delighted when we found out that "Le Pain Quotidien" is actually a chain and can be found in several cities across the world...

Below are our favorite lunch dishes:

A creamy chicken soup served in a beautiful bread bun and a really delicious Salmon tartar!

For a price-worthy lunch in Moscow this is definitely a must!

Frecce Tricolori

We had the wonderful opportunity to see the Frecce Tricolori last summer from the beach in Castagneto Carducci (Li) during the Bolgheri Melody event. It was a spetaculous event seeing the talented pilots and amazing airplanes. 

 

What made it even more amazing was the fact that we saw the whole 3 hour event from our sun-chairs less then 2 meters from the sea!

Festa del Olio in the beautiful city of Volterra!

From the 4th until the 8th of December Volterra will have their annual "Primo Olio". The festival, in its third year, promotes the tasty green gold through competitions, tastings and stands for the curious and passionate audience. The need this year to raise awareness and promote this great product...and its centuries-old tradition rooted in the territory, giving it a leading role alongside the other excellent local food and wine. A wonderful occasion to taste the freshly made new oil from local producers!
